Expat Process Baby Child Birth in Mexico Registering the child in Mexico This it the first step when a child a child is born in Mexico. The hospitals in general helps in registering the child and providing the new born a CURP. In case of Expats when one or more parents are not from Mexico few hospitals may not register the child in Hospital itself. For such cases, parents need to exercise the registration of child to civil authorities and get a birth certificate. What do we need: 1> When a child is born, Hospital is supposed to provide a letter which is stated as "Secretaria de Salud Certificado de Nacimiento" which contains information about the mother and the details of the child when baby was born like its weight, height, place of birth, doctors name etc Most important thing in this document is the stamp of the Hospital.
